Joyce Heaton started working at Immanuel Lutheran Church in February of 2020. Her years of experience include management of a furniture store in California and manager level experience at Menards. She has also worked at a local bank. She lives in Dixon and looks forward to a long and happy career as Parish Administrator.

Somar is a wife, a mother to 3 biological children, and a stepmom to 3 more. She has an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor's degree in Human Services. She brings with her experience working at Lutheran Social Services of Dixon. She also works very closely within the recovery community and loves seeing people overcome their addictions and sins that stop their relationship with God. She says, “My road has led me down a path not walked by many. but one thing I can share with you is the love of Jesus and just what kind of Father we have in him. God has helped me change and learn that we all need each other.”
